Chaos is not just a scientific theory.
It is something we all experience.
I’ve lived through seasons when life seemed to fall apart.
The death of my father when I was fourteen.
The stillbirth of Amanda Joy.
The divorce.
Hurricane Katrina.
Losing jobs.
Starting over more than once.
Every one of those moments felt like chaos.
Yet when I look back, I remember the opening words of Genesis.
“The earth was formless and void…and God said…”
God didn’t run from the chaos.
He entered it.
He spoke.
And little by little, light replaced darkness.
Order replaced confusion.
Hope replaced fear.
Looking back over seventy-six years, I have discovered something.
God has done the same thing in my life.
Now I’m hooked.
Now I want to keep reading.
Then finish with this thought:
Chaos has never been the end of my story.
It has often been where God began something new.
